WELCOME!
The Lakeland Women's Collective is a pro-human, anti-racist, anti-exploitation, feminist organization. We support creativity and artistry as a form of resistance.
LWC was founded in 2018. We are a volunteer run organization that aims to bring awareness to the issues affecting women, BIPOC, and the LGBTQIA communities. Subscribe to our newletters at the bottom of our page. To read our most recent newsletter, click on 'The Feminist Palette' tab above.
SEWSA Virtual Conference
March 11 - 14, 2021

"Precarious Times: Embodying Disobedience, Crafting Affinities" is a virtual conference presented by SEWSA (South Eastern Women's Study Association) that is occurring from March 11th through March 14th.
There were numerous discussions, panelists, and roundtables to virtually attend.
Our round table took place on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 1:15 pm.
We are beyond honored to be part of this badass conference! Our presentation highlights the importance of our work in the City of Lakeland. If you are interested in watching our presentation, make sure to sign up for our mailing list!

OUR STORY
Lakeland Women's Collective was created in 2018 out of a desire to have meaningful connections with other women that were not reliant on religion or political party.
We are made up of students, artists, business owners, creative makers, moms, grandmothers, and more. We are nonpartisan, nondenominational and no longer interested in supporting the Patriarchy.
We want equality and inclusion. We want equal pay and equal rights. We want equal investment in our business ventures and seats at the Board Table, not just the Kitchen table. We want these things for all women and female, femme-identifying and non-binary persons in Lakeland and across the world.
